Windows 98 SE CD Key

Hi, I am running windows 98 on my desktop since years. Now I want to install the same on one more system from the same CD. Now the problem is I bought this CD about 4 years ago and not able to find the product key. I lost it somewhere.

So can anyone of you please tell me from where can I get the product key for my genuine installation disk of win98 ?

Is your exiting older PC an OEM? If yes, you should checkout the computers back or bottom. There should be any sticker with the product key. If not you will need to try with your vendor if they can provide you because Microsoft no longer issue the same.

Is your existing system with win98 working fine? If yes, than you can retrieve the product keys right from your registry itself. Just go to registry and try searching for a key named “Productkey”. Most of the times it use to be encrypted but see if you get some help. You can also use Magical jellybean product key finder application that will display you the keys very easily.
