Increase your modem connection speed

Hey,
wanna increase you modem speed? follow this
open your device manager
open the modem properties
in the Avanced Tab --> Extra initialization commands
type this AT&FX
for me it gave a 115K speed

i have a broadband connection which is running on my lan card, not modem & would like to know if there are any tricks to increase speed on that connection.

you can't cheange the speed of a BB connection...if there was a way i'd allready have figured it out ...the most u can possibly do is download one of them "Speed your Internet up" programs...they help a little by reducing the quality of the images on a website...but with a BB connection personally i don't see why people would want to try and get more out of it...

oh and your MAX BB speed depends on how far you are away from the telephone exchange...i have a "Up to 8MB" connection...the most i have seen it connect at is about 5mb...and i live about 5 miles away from the nerest phone exchange...also the village is old with old phone wires tht can't cope with the high speeds

you have to shift to another higher bandwidth plan :p
