Android is an amazing platform that offers you pc like features where you can do various things instantly. Like you can simply control your pc shutdown through a android phone. And there is no major things needed. If you want you can configure the same through a automated task. Like at a specific time when you enter your office, your pc will turn on its own. And then you can simply use a third party software to turn it off also. I am going to show you the process through which you can turn on your Windows based pc easily through a simple android app called as WoL Wake on Lan. The app is free and needs minimum configuration. You just have to follow the steps properly. The feature comes integrated in the system. You just have to turn on the features and the app will do the rest job. Here you have to do a few things before moving ahead. I am listing them one by one.
- You will need a windows based pc to use the feature.
- You will need a Android device with ICS or higher OS.

- Keeping your PC on static IP is recommended if you want to flawlessly use this feature.

Steps to switch on your pc through Android phone or table:
First shutdown your pc and go in Bios. You have to find Wake on LAN or PXE Boot and enable it. Turn on your pc back again and if you are using Windows 7 then click on Start and type Device Manager. Right click on your Network Adapter and click on Properties. Then click on Advance and below Property look for Wake on Magic Packet. From the right enabled it.
