    question How to find if computer has Usb 3.0 support?

    How can find out if my computer can use a USB3 card? It came with USB2 but, I have a USB 3 external drive nd would like to get it to run a tad faster. I have a PCI USB 2 card that I would swap for a USB 3 PCI

    Here are the particulars for my system.

    You have a HP Pavilion a6700f desktop pc and it seems to me that you are having support only USB 2.0 ports on your motherboard. Incase you want to use USB 3.0 then you will have to purchase a usb 3.0 card and then add it in your computer. You can buy something like Rosewill 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card Model RC-505 which will cost you only $12.99.
