When you run a search from the home of Windows 8, it usually saves your queries and stores them in a log. Here's how to purge this history.
- On the Home screen, move the mouse pointer at the top right of the screen to bring up the Charm bar. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Windows + C.
- After that click Settings.
- Now you have to click Change settings of the PC.
- In the left column, click Search.
- Click Clear History.
- The history is then emptied. Close the window with the keyboard shortcut Alt + F4.
