The following article will give you tips to use Windows 8 on a Tablet PC. Windows 8 Tablet features ample of touch shortcuts that menu are not aware. I am going to target ample of them one by one and hope that this thread will be updated each time someone finds something new in it. Windows 8 is a featured OS for tablet. It is great to have Windows on a portable device with all features of full fledge operating system.
HomeScreen & Charm Bar: The Charm Bar appears on the Right Side. You have to Swap your finger to from right to left and it will appear. This charm bar offers you 4 features. They are :
1. Search : Search files, applications, folders, etc.
2. Share : Share files from your desktop instantly.
3. Start : Launch Metro UI
4. Devices : Look for connected Device or Additional Monitor
5. Settings : Access Control Panel, Personalization, PC Info and System Tray icons.
Desktop :
The desktop is placed on the Metro UI. You have to tap on that to get access to traditional desktop of Windows. There is no Start Menu available. You might find it bit difficult to use. For that you have to pin all your applications on the Metro UI. To put a shortcut on the desktop you will need to find the location of installed program. That by default lies in Program Files. There is one more way to find that. Go in the Metro UI, and then right click on any application. Below you can find a small bar from which you have to click on Open File Location. The Explorer will give you the shortcut location. Right click on it and then choose Send To > Desktop
Launch & Exit a Application from Metro UI:
To launch Application just tap on it. A number of time you will be not find that standard X mark on the top of applications launched from Metro UI. It keeps on running in the background. You can find which application is running in the background.
a). Background Process : To find out which application is still running in the background on Metro UI do this. Swipe your finger from Left to Right. Then again move it a bit backside and you will see a Dual Screen options. Move a more little to the backside and you can see all the background applications.
b). Exit Application : To exist that you have to drag your finger from UP to DOWN. Choose any application and Drag it from UP to Down. It will be Turned Off.

Windows Key : Metro UI
Windows + D : Desktop
Windows + C : Charm Bar
Windows + L : Lock Screen
Windows + U : Ease of Access Center
Windows + P : Switch to Secondary Monitor.
