In Windows 8 you will find the ‘God Mode’ similar to the one that was present in Windows 7. This folder is given this name is because it provides all the options on the control panel as well as many other options to control the computer’s working completely. This folder includes the other shell folders which help us achieve the control over the system we have. The shell folders have been put in windows only to reveal when a specific combination of number is put in a curly bracket as the name of the folder. For example, {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} is the number that is found commonly in most of the computers and is known to be the first number that actually revealed this folder. This is known to be the actual GUID for the shell folder in Windows 8.
Here are the steps in order to get the God Mode folder in Windows 8.
- Right click on the screen when inside any local drive and create a new folder.
- Now rename the folder to GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
- Once done, the folder’s icon will change to icon of utility, which is the blue computer monitor like icon.
Thus the God Mode folder is created, enter it and you will find many more option which you can use to modify your Windows 8.
