Data connection
The HTC one X is automatically adjusted so that it uses the data connection of your mobile operator if you turn it on for the first time (when the SIM card is inserted).
Checking the data connection
For doing this you will have to open the notification panel and after opening to you will have to click on the gear icon. One you click the gear icon you will have to click on the Mobile Network then in Mobile network you will have to go to Network operators or if you do not find that go to Access Point Names.
Enable or disable the data connection
By disabling the data connection, you can save battery life and charges for data transmission. For doing this you will have to open the notification panel and after opening to you will have to click on the gear icon. One you click the gear icon you will have to click on the Mobile Network On/off switch to turn the data connection on or off.
Important: If you are not connected via Wi-Fi or your data connection is disable, you would not get automatic updates for your e-mail and social network accounts and other synchronized information.
Add a new access point
Important: Now if you planning got add a new data connection you will have to keep in mind that you have done all setting and you are having an access point name of your mobile operator which would be having username and password also.
For doing this you will have to open the notification panel and after opening to you will have to click on the gear icon. One you click the gear icon you will have to click on the Mobile Network then in Mobile network you will have to go to Access Point Names. Now on Access Point names screen you will have to click the three verticals lines icon and add new Access pint name. Now on the Edit Access Point screen you will have to insert the access point name setting. And if you want to edit the Access point name you will have to click on access point name setting item. After doing all this just click on three vertical lines icon and click on Save.
