How to Install Adobe Reader on Fedora 16

Adobe Reader is a viewer file format (PDF), developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated, which will allow you to, among other things, display, create and modify files in this format.

Installing Adobe Reader on your system, you can perform using the binary distribution for your GNU / Linux or through the Adobe official repository, using the YUM package manager.

For the first option, just make sure you link to download and instaléis the binary for the latest version of Adobe Reader for your GNU / Linux, since its official download page.

$ Su-c 'yum-y localinstall - nogpgcheck-8.1.7-1.i486.rpm AdobeReader_esp'

For the second option, you will have Unload the binary file for use with the YUM package manager, which once installed on your system, you provide access to official repository Adobe.

$ Su-c 'yum-y install - nogpgcheck http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm' 
$ Su-c 'yum-y install AdobeReader_esp'

Finally, whether the installation of the application you have made one way or another, you can access it from: Applications -> Office -> Adobe Reader, Gnome menu.

There are many alternative for Fedora to read pdf files if incase this Adobe Reader does not works. The one which I know is Foxit Reader. It is a free tool and also available for other platform. Comparison to that there are many free pdf viewers. Adobe Reader provides you some extra features of editing and modifying the documents. PDF viewers give you basic support for reading pdf documents on your system. There are many online tool also.
