I have some to add on this. When you are going for a laptop be aware that much is not always better. It is possible that on some low price you can buy a better system. Do not focus on just one or two components in the selection of components for the gaming system. You need a powerful processor for gaming. When selecting the memory you need 3 GB or more and most decent laptops will come with 3 GB of memory. But it would be better if you opt for 4 GB or more depending on your budget.

I too not prefer to go for gaming laptop. There is a reason for that. The first is one is due to the budget and the second is due to low space for upgrade. In that case if in future you want to go for a better upgrade then you have pay more than what you pay in desktop. And you cannot also resale the parts of a laptop. There are other more reasons, but today if you go for alienware brand then they really had good model.
