In FrontPage, an administrator can change the level of access to a website that has been assigned to a user. There are three types of authorization:
- Explorer - the user can view the Web site files (read access only).
- Create - the user can view and edit files in the website (right to read and write).
- Administer - The user can view and edit files in the website and may also add and delete users (full access).
By default, all subwebs inherit the permission settings that were assigned to their parent site, but you can set unique permissions for a subsite.
1. On the Tools menu, point to Security, and then click Permissions.
2. If the subweb uses permissions identical to those of its parent Web site, click Use unique permissions for this web site, then click the Apply button.
3. Click the Users tab.
4. Select a user and click Edit.
5. Under the user can select the type of access you want to assign.
