If you want to quickly launch a program that you use frequently, without needing to add extra icons on the desktop or taskbar, you can add it to the Office menu.
Thus, a simple right click on the desktop will display a list of your favorite software and an additional click will allow you to run the software of your choice. For this you must edit the Windows registry to specify the programs to add to this menu.
Create a restore point:
Errors in the registry modification can disrupt the operation of Windows, hence i strongly advise you to do a restore point before your manipulations. Thus, in case of trouble, you can always revert to the last functional parameters, and that even if Windows will not boot.
- Click the right mouse button on the Computer icon on your desktop (or My Computer with Windows XP) and click Properties. If this icon is not on the desktop, you'll find in the Start menu.
- Click on System Protection.
- Then click the Create button.
- Name the restore point and click Create.
- The restore point is created. Click Close and then OK.
