    Perform Virus Scan with a Screensaver

    You use Microsoft Security Essentials for protecting your computer against free virus and malware? But do you regularly run a full scan of your computer?

    With Screensaver Screensaver Security, you will be able to automatically scan your hard disks and update the antivirus database software when your computer does nothing.

    Security is indeed Screensaver screen saver that's starting off when idle on your computer after 10 minutes without doing anything for example. It will use Microsoft Security Essential to further analyze your hard drive. If infected, a warning will ask you what to do (quarantine, delete or do nothing).

    When you want to use your computer, the antivirus will automatically suspend and resume the analysis at the next idle.


    Download Security Screensaver:

    To use Security Screensaver, you must have installed Microsoft Security Essentials , Microsoft's free antivirus. Screensaver Security works with all versions and editions (32 and 64 bit) of Windows.

    • Download Security Screensaver from this link.

    • Choose the folder to save the screen saver, in the Downloads folder for example and click Save.

    • Then click the Open button.

    • Click Extract all files.

    • Click the Browse button.

    • Select the folder C: \ Programs and click OK

    • Click Extract.

    Install Security Screensaver:

    Once Screensaver Security decompressed on your hard drive, you must install the screen saver so that it is used by Windows.
    • In the opened folder after decompressing the archive, open the Security folder by double clicking Screensaver.

    • Click the right mouse button on the File Security Screensaver.scr.

    • Click the Install command.

    • In the window that opens, click Run.

    • A command window and the screen saver is launched. Move the mouse to return to Windows. The screen saver is installed.

    • After 15 minutes the screen saver starts. The virus is then updated and scan your system starts.

    • Move your mouse to return to Windows and set break in the analysis. It will be resumed at the next idle.

    Customizing screensaver:

    By default, the screen saver is launched after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can change this time.
    • Click the right mouse button on an empty space of desktop and click Customize.

    • Click the Screen Saver.

    • Then select the idle time before the launch of the screensaver. Finally, click OK.
