    1. What files and folders are suitable for compression?
Unpack can do whatever you want. Significant space savings you can achieve but only at their own formats without compression - ie at about Office and PDF documents, HTML pages, BMP and PCX images, DLL and EXE code, RTF and text files. With already compressed formats such as JPG, MP3 and ZIP nothing changes on the size.

    2. How can I pack and unpack with Winrar?
The Windows Explorer shows the main WinRAR commands from the context menu of files and folders - depending on how you set the "Options, Settings, Integration." Since we do not know which room you give the Packers the Explorer, we describe the main activities under the Winrar's own user interface.

    Winrar a file manager:
Most of the overview you get Winrar with "options, directory tree, disk's directory, or via shortcut [Ctrl] - [T]. Then displayed as a Winrar left column an Explorer-like directory tree. All folders and shell folders show there by right clicking on the familiar Explorer context menus. You should also turn off the setting "Options, File list, overview (the fastest with the shortcut [Ctrl] - [H]). Thus, you will also receive a folder inside archives usual navigation such as Windows Explorer.

Packing: After you have selected folders and files relevant, click on the icon "Add". This opens the dialog "Set archive names and archive parameters", where you specify "General" in the simplest case, only the archive name. If you selectively archive a specific data type you want, then go to the Files tab and enter the line "Add files" one or more file masks - for instance "*. xls *. jpg".

Unzip: Select the compressed file in the Winrar window, and select the toolbar the default icon "ENTP. after ". Alternatively, you go through the menu commands to unpack in specified directory ".

    3. Where do I put my Winrar specifications set permanently?
Under Options, Preferences "Setting Standards" is available on the "compression" button. "Set your default compression settings" requested by the dialog again has lots of tabs and options. You save a lot of clicks in the future, if you even walk through these options and define your standards. You can even "Advanced, I set" your default passwords for RAR archives deposited in the registry. So you must enter no more on that PC and using your account.
