While testing with games in Ubuntu I have come to an interesting system and want to share with everyone. Many have trouble installing the game with Cedega, for example Neverwinter Nights 2 that lets you get the activation code or Half-Life 2, which gives an error sometimes difficult to bridge, so I tried to install WINE and went perfectly but clear CEDEGE the advantages with respect to some improvement when using the graphics card or other things WINE has not (yet) so after much searching online I found useful information and after you have installed WINE remove to CEDEGE and run it and here is the method.
- WINE directory .wine / drive_c / Program Files (if it is installed in Program Files change it.)
- Copy the contents of the application (game) Program Files directory or program files .Cedega / (Look a little to match it all depends on how you have configured but basically you have to find a Program Files and Program Files inside).
- Now it has launched the Wine regedit from a terminal type wine regedit, export the registry strings we are interested in this case will be found in CURRENT USER and LOCAL MACHINE, the export each to a reg file extension.
- Now open the file in .Cedega / called user.reg and copy the contents of the reg at the end of CURRENT USER.
- We repeat the same procedure with the file system.reg of .Cedega / and copy the contents of LOCAL MACHINE.
- Now we just have to create a shortcut from the executable CEDEGE game and give the path of work where you perform (the game directory).
- Ready now we can play..
