Install and run games with CEDEGE WINE

While testing with games in Ubuntu I have come to an interesting system and want to share with everyone. Many have trouble installing the game with Cedega, for example Neverwinter Nights 2 that lets you get the activation code or Half-Life 2, which gives an error sometimes difficult to bridge, so I tried to install WINE and went perfectly but clear CEDEGE the advantages with respect to some improvement when using the graphics card or other things WINE has not (yet) so after much searching online I found useful information and after you have installed WINE remove to CEDEGE and run it and here is the method.
    1. WINE directory .wine / drive_c / Program Files (if it is installed in Program Files change it.)
    2. Copy the contents of the application (game) Program Files directory or program files .Cedega / (Look a little to match it all depends on how you have configured but basically you have to find a Program Files and Program Files inside).
    3. Now it has launched the Wine regedit from a terminal type wine regedit, export the registry strings we are interested in this case will be found in CURRENT USER and LOCAL MACHINE, the export each to a reg file extension.
    4. Now open the file in .Cedega / called user.reg and copy the contents of the reg at the end of CURRENT USER.
    5. We repeat the same procedure with the file system.reg of .Cedega / and copy the contents of LOCAL MACHINE.
    6. Now we just have to create a shortcut from the executable CEDEGE game and give the path of work where you perform (the game directory).
    7. Ready now we can play..

Re: Install Wine to run Windows games and applications on Linux

One of the things that maybe installing linux is sometimes a burden, is not able to use the applications you usually use on windows in our free operating systems. This is no longer a problem, as with wine can install applications like Google Earth, Office, Photoshop and even Internet Explorer, through games like Diablo II, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Medal of Honor and many other titles and execute them without no problem. To do this we just need to install Wine, a windows emulator and wine tools, allowing us to configure this application in a quick and easy in a few easy steps :
    1. First install Wine
      $sudo aptitude install wine cabextract
    2. We got off the page WineTools and decompress the executable
      $sudo tar -C /opt -x -z -v -f winetools-0.9jo-III.tar.gz
    3. Libgtk1.2 install the library using the installer.
      $sudo aptitude install libgtk1.2
    4. We go where we unzipped the file and install Wine Tools.
      $cd /opt/winetools-0.9jo-III
      $sudo ./install
    5. Once installation is complete, wine and WineTools started with our normal user, as we create a hard fake to fool windows.
      $wine && winetools

Re: Install and run games with CEDEGE WINE

Now follow the directions that we will give the program and then in the menu, proceed to install all the software that will be shown, it will be automated. After that we will have configured a windows of "lie" in our system.
To use or install a windows program only have to run:
    $wine program.exe
NOTE: If you want to install programs that have several cd's first have to copy the entire contents to your hard drive. To set up a program to run on different Windows versions, we only have to configure wine
    $winecfg

And in select applications to add new application and look where you installed our application, we select, we will add, and now we can tell the program several configuration options.
