    UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is a peer-to-peer network structural design standard, the smart devices, wireless devices, personal computers (PC) permits to connect peripherals to a network and converse with each other in the instantaneous environs. UPnP makes life easier for the user by supporting zero-configuration "invisible" networking and habitual discovery for UPnP devices, which in turn can animatedly join a network, an IP address, convey device capabilities, and learn about the presence and capabilities of other UPnP devices. Windows Vista UPnP does the Discovery Network been renamed, and is standard in all version of Vista as Windows Firewall blocks network discovery disabled.

    To turn on and turn off UPnP service or Network Discovery in Windows Vista, merely track these steps:
    1. Initially you will have to click the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
    2. Afterwards click on Network and Internet link, and then click Network and Sharing Center.
    3. You can now view that Network Discovery is turned off. Click on the button with the arrow to expand the section.
    4. Then click on "Turn on Network Discovery," and then click Apply. Administrator permission required. If you have an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation required.

    Note that network policy settings may require the implementation of these steps if your computer is connected to prevent a network.

    Capability to hibernate is enabled by default on every Windows Vista installation. If you have disable and turn off hibernation characteristic, inadvertently delete hiberfil.sys using Hibernation File Cleaner Disk Cleanup tool of, or simply you just cannot and unable to locate the Hibernate button to put the computer into hibernation state, you can re-enable or try to enable and turn on the hibernation functionality in Vista again with the following command. In Windows Vista, users no longer able to enable or disable hibernation via the desktop graphical user interface.

    How to Enable and Turn On Hibernation Feature in Vista :
    1. First click on the Start button, then type cmd in the Start Search box.
    2. In the search results list, right click on "cmd" and click on Run as Administrator item on contextual menu.
    3. In the command prompt window, type the following command:
      powercfg-h on
