    Creating UM dialing rules

    UM-dialing (Unified Messaging) are fashioned by using an organization-wide capacity and surround information interrelated to your telephony network.       • Number of positions in direct dial numbers, enter the number of bodies to a dialing. The number of digits for extension numbers is based on the TelephoneSettings that are created on a private branch exchange (PBX). For example, if a user that certain TelephoneSettings is associated with a 4-digit dial chooses to call another user with the same TelephoneSettings, then choose from four as the number of digits in the extension. This is a required field with values in the range 1 to 20 The typical extension length is 3 to 7 If the existing telephony environment includes extension numbers, then you must set a number for the bodies to match the number of posts in these extensions.     You can select one of the following URI types of dialing:
    • Phone Extension This is the most common type of URI. The subscriber information of the caller and the called party IP gateway or IP PBX will be one of the following formats listed in: Tel: 512 345 or @ <IP address> 512,345th. This is the default type for URI dialing.
    • SIP URI URI Use this type when you need SIP URI dialing, if an IP-PBX supports SIP routing, or if you are running Office Communications Server 2007 and Exchange Unified Messaging integrates Microsoft. The subscriber information of the caller and the called party IP gateway or IP PBX will be of the format as listed in the SIP address: sip: <username> @ <domain or address> IP: port.
    • E.164 is an international E.164 numbering map for public telephone systems in which a Country / consigned number, a national destination code and subscriber number embraces any.
