Merge multiple files with different extensions

To merge several documents of the same type in a single file, Word documents, for example, you can go through the software that lets you manipulate these files on your computer (Word) that certainly has such a feature. But when it comes to combining several different types of documents: text, picture, slideshow, web page, image, it is less obvious.

With the free software PDFCreator, you will be able to unite in a single PDF file all the documents you want, whatever their origins. The only condition is that the software you use to manipulate your files allow for printing.

For PDFCreator comes in the form of a virtual printer accessible from all your software. It is easy to list, and then combined in the order you want your documents in a PDF file that you can easily archive or submit to a friend.

    Download and install PDFCreator:

    Change the first document:

PDFCreator is in the form of a virtual printer. You can combine any document that can be printed.
    • Open the first document that you want to group with others. This may be an image, a text document, web page, etc..

    • Click the File menu and then click Print. Note that depending on your type of document and the software you use to open, this command can find elsewhere.

    • Pull down the list of printers and select the PDFCreator printer.

    • If you do not want to keep a few pages of the document, specify them.

    • Then click Print.

    Add documents:

You can then add as many documents as you wish, change their order of appearance in the final document, etc..
    • PDFCreator opens. Click the Update button in the queue.

    • Print Monitor window opens. It has a waiting list of your overall document.

    • Leave this window open and act the same way (via PDFCreator print) for all documents that must be included in the final document.

    • Once all documents are present in the queue, you can change their order of appearance in the final document by dragging the arrows.

    Merge all documents into one:

You'll now be able to consolidate all your documents from different software in a single PDF file. Here is how to do so:
    • Click on the Document menu then all merge.

    • The list includes more then one file, which contains all your other documents from different software.

    • Then click on the Document menu and click Print.

    • Click Save.

    • Select a folder to save the global document, give it a name and click Save.

    • The comprehensive document to PDF is created and opened. It includes all documents and images selected previously.
