    Installing ATI AGP Drivers

AGP: basically called for Accelerated Graphics Port. It is a high speed point to point channel which is used for attaching a video card to the Motherboard of the system. This helps in acceleration of Computer graphics in 3-D mode. AGP has phased out in favor of PCI express. Here we will have a instructions of how to make installation of ATI AGP Drivers to the system under Windows 7. Here it is as below:

    • First you need to get the Catalyst 9.11 32 bit driver for the System that is Windows 7. Click on ATI Radeon driver and extract the driver
    • Then run the .exe file you have downloaded and extraction will be done to C:\ATI
    • Now you need to close installation process as the extraction is done.
    • Download the attachment that is CL_91523.zip and do the extraction of the .inf file. You should save the same on desktop where-ever you want
    • Now all you need to do is to copy paste the CL_91526.inf that you extracted by overwriting it to the location that is C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF
    • Now choose or open the device manager option and right click on the video card. Upgrade the driver by choosing the downloaded or selected file that you saved
    • You should navigate through C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF
    • Then open the CL_91526.inf
    • Now make it to install
    • Restart the system if it is essential Pick the Aero theme by right clicking on the desktop.
    • Personalize it
    • Run the setup.exe file C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\ and let the installation complete to install CCC. If it asks make it to install under custom mode
    • For overclocking you should install the ATI tray tools

    Re: Installing ATI AGP Drivers

As far as I know this driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above.
