A firewall protects your computer from hackers or malicious software (eg, worms) on the network or the Internet. A firewall also helps to prevent the sending of malicious software to other computers.
This option is selected by default. If Windows Firewall is enabled, the installation of communication most of the programs the firewall are blocked. If you need to unlock the program, you can add it to the list of exceptions to the tab "Exceptions". In particular, we can not send photos via instant messaging, while this program is not added to the list of exceptions.
If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from completing these actions.
To enable the Windows Firewall
- Open firewall Windows, click Start and selecting Control Panel, Security and Firewall Windows.
- Click Enable or Disable Firewall Windows. Enter the administrator password or confirmation password if prompted.
- Select On (recommended) and click OK.
- If you want the firewall to block all sites, including the programs selected on the Exceptions tab, select Block all incoming connections.
