If you have installed the RC of Windows 7, you have probably noticed that the version of Windows was shown continuously at the bottom right on the desktop. You can easily remove the watermark.

  • Login in a session with administrative rights.
  • Download the file by clicking here RemoveWatermarkX64.exe if you have Windows 7 in 32-bit version or the file RemoveWatermarkX64.exe if you have Windows 7 in 64-bit version.
  • Once the download is complete, click Open File.
  • Click the right mouse button on the file RemoveWatermarkX86.exe (or RemoveWatermarkX64.exe) and select the Run as administrator.
  • Confirm the launch of the program.
  • In the command prompt window that opens, press the Y button and then press Enter.
  • Wait a few moments until the patch is applied. When the program tells you that the transaction is complete, press the Enter key.
  • Restart your computer. On the next startup, the version of Windows 7 is no longer displayed.
  • If the version number is always displayed, click the Start button and then type cmd in the Search box.
  • Simultaneously press Ctrl-Shift-Enter to open the Command Prompt in Administrator mode.
  • In the command prompt, type the command mcbuilder.exe then press Enter.
  • Once the order is complete (it may take 1 to 2 minutes), close the command prompt and then restart your computer. On the next startup, the version of Windows 7 is no longer displayed.
