How to Solve Realtek HD Audio error: Error 0xE0000227

Realtek HD Audio: Error 0xE0000227 Fix

This error sometimes appears when installing the Realtek High Definition driver in XP. You can download the driver here.

    Here are some more solution:
    • Open Device Manager (Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware)
    • In the "View" menu manager, select "Devices by connection":
    • Disable and uninstall by right clicking on "Bus Driver for Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio",
    • You can now install the drivers normally and without error.

    ThumbsUp

I had to format my hard disks and install xp , but when I was installing my drivers this error occurred. Thanks to the solutions here I got it done all by my self without any problems.

It says "Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer."

Yeah I got to point two and realised I've seen/done this one before... and then after reading it all, realised I had - it didn't work for me.

Nope slight problem here it's Realtek AC'97 Driver - and UAA Bus Driver is not on my system at all!

    Help!!!
Try the below fix to solve the error code issue that you are getting:

    1. Go into a command prompt.
    2. Type “set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1”
    3. Hit return.
    4. Type “devmgmt.msc”
    5. Hit return.

Once device manager has loaded, go to View, Show Hidden Devices. You will then see “greyed out” old devices and network cards that you can remove. Once you reboot all should be well.

Could you let us know what kind of problem are you facing in details so that we can help you out. What operating system and what is your computer specifications that you are using? Which sound card is installed or onboard on the mobo? If you can give us the make and model of that sound card then we can find out drivers for it.

I recently re-installed Windows XP Service Pack 3 - Everytime I get through to installing Realtek AC'97 Audio - halfway through it ask's me to find a specific file (alcxwdm.sys) and once located it gets to the final bit and my whole computer shut's down.

Now I've tried to install Microsoft UAA Bus Driver before but that didn't seem to install - will try again and let you know exactly what happens.

Right did a hdaudbus.sys .inf etc copy to all relevant directories from a downloaded version.

And I can't find a UAA Bus Driver download for XP3 - though I did have one not too long ago, and it still didn't work

PS - the chip on the mother board says "RTL81U1L" and 3909601 and 337F TAIWAN if that helps

I have just tried all this and it does not work. I still can not uninstall the ''Bus Driver for Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio''

Don`t know what to do, but I still don`t have my sound.
    Any other ideas?

Re: How to Solve Realtek HD Audio error: Error 0xE0000227

    Try the below steps:

    1. First Step is to make sure all instances Realtek Audio and its associative softwares are uninstalled from add remove programs and device manager. This includes Intel High Definition audio.

    2. On your PC change the CSDVersion registry key to Windows XP SP2:
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\CSDVersion value=200

This problem arises as the patch thinks that SP3 includes a better version of the patch itself and hence doesn’t install itself.

    3. Download the latest drivers from the Intel website, navigate to the KB888111 patch.

    4. But before installing the patch, goto your device manager and disable the UAA. Now uninstall the UAA.

    5. Install your patch now.

    6. Install the Realtek drivers now and things should work.

    7. Change the SP version to 300 again.

The issue is related to Realtek HD audio driver. This might have stop working because of which you are facing this error. Usually this is a kind of conflict arises between Realtek drivers. It occurs when the installation is not done properly or multiple drivers are used. You will need to re-install this to fix the issue. Go in Device Manager and then look for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. Right click on it and disable the same. You can also uninstall this if you want. Use tools like registry cleaner run it and restart your pc.

I can`t uninstall the Intel High Definition audio. It says that my PC might not be able to boot again if I uninstall it.
And I don`t know where exactly I have to change CSDVersion registry key.
    Could anybody give more details?

    Thank you!

After changing the CSDVersion to 200 I still get a message that says I can not uninstall the AAU bus because I won`t be able to boot up my PC.

I`m really fed up with that!
