It may be a video file (DivX or other format) is encoded with black bands corresponding to the format.
It is possible to remove them with a tool for editing video as VirtualDub
How to Remove black
- Launch VirtualDub
- In the File menu, click open video file (video file open) and choose the video file to load
- In the video menu, select Full processing mode, then click Filters (filters). In the window open and click on the "Add" button (Add), select the filter "Null transform" and "Cropping"
- In the window for setting the filter, adjust the parameters of offset (Offset) to eliminate the black bands.
- In the audio menu, select Direct stream copy.
- Click OK and save the file by clicking "Save as AVI (AVI record) in the File menu.
