The version of Linux called Ubuntu is a full featured, free, easy to use operating system. Sometimes you need to use certain programs that exist only as Windows applications. Following steps will show you how to use Wine, a Windows emulator, to run Microsoft Windows programs from inside Ubuntu:
- In Ubuntu, go to 'Add/Remove'
- Select 'All Open Source Applications'
- Scroll down to 'Wine Windows Emulator'
- Mark the Check box
- Click on 'Apply Changes'. Wine will download and install.
- Follow installation instructions which will guide you through the process of creating a Windows partition and file system on your hard drive
