Re: Increase Browsing And Downloading Speed in Windows Vista

Follow the below provided steps to increase the Windows Vista Browsing and Downloading speed:

Initially enter the Advance tab inside Internet Explorer and make it turn off the TLS which is Transport Layer Security encryption option.
In order to fix this problem with basic secure pages should be turned on the SSL 2.0 (Secure Sockets Layer) feature and then click on Ok button in order to close it.

Follow the major steps in order fix such problems:

In windows Vista operating system, the TCP consists of autotuning feature which is enabled by default. Most of the web servers actually does not respond in a proper way for this feature, so it may be a possibility that few sites can take a bit of time inorder to open it.

In order to to use this particular feature, you have to log on into your computer as an administrator and select administrative rights.

Iniatially click on Start button and type as CMD in Run command option and then press Enter in order to get command getting executed.

Enter Command Prompt option and type the command netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= disabled and then press enter.

This command will help you to disable the TCP autotuning feature in your windows vista operating system. Try to close the command Prompt window and try to reboot your computer in order for changes to take effect.

You are able to easily restore the above setting by just typing the command at Command Prompt.

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= normal
Close the command Prompt window and again reboot your computer in order for changes to take effect.
