Windows 7: How to disable Windows Defender

Using Windows 7 on a computer for the first time and you have decided to forgot a few features to speed everything? Have you downloaded / purchased an anti-malware noteworthy and want to take from the box Windows Defender? Well, then you are in the right place at the right time.

Here we will see how to turn of discretionary security software "made in Microsoft" (as we know, seems like an oxymoron, but it is not) without acting on the services and / or the list of programs planned for 'start automatically'. Follow this guide step by step and you'll find everything:
    1. Go to the Start menu, type defender in the search field and click on Windows Defender in the left column of the menu

    2. Click the Tools button in the toolbar of Windows Defender

    3. Click on Options

    4. Select from the Administrator at the left of the window

    5. Remove the check mark that is next to Use this program

    6. Click the Save button

    7. If enabled the UAC, answer in the affirmative ("Yes") to the message that appears.

That's it. Now you are free to use another software or to remain without this kind of protection (at your own risk) to save a few MB of RAM.

What if we want to reactivate it again?

If you want to re-enable Windows Defender, you will not have to do other than repeat the same steps to remove it from the foot by putting the check mark next to "Use this program" rather than remove it.

Why can’t Microsoft understand that users don’t want most of their software and they need to stop force full integration! IE can now be uninstalled and yet Windows Defender, which is worthless, can not. I hope the US and EU start anti-trust suits again!

You’d rather use your own spyware and trojan remover, having Windows Defender also running can be a bit of a moot point.

Have you tried to restart your computer using the Last known Good Configuration and see if the issue can be fixed. It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Every time you turn your computer off and Windows shuts down successfully, important system settings are saved in the registry. If a problem occurs, you can restart your computer using those settings. For example, if a new driver for your video card is causing problems, or an incorrect registry setting is preventing Windows from starting correctly, you can restart your computer using Last Known Good Configuration. This will roll back the drivers.
