Representing something fundamental for those who want to keep informed and updated about the news published on the websites that that you love to follow.
Almost needless to say, more feeds to follow and better use valuable time to do it, sometimes with results that we see and read for hours and hours without having to understand anything because of too much haste and confusion in our minds.
Precisely to avoid this, we have decided to give you advice, that we hope profitable to all - how to organize and optimize the best reading of RSS feeds.
Happy reading!
- Define why you follow a site, that is, make sure that it is really useful to follow it and try to categorize along with other similar. For example, it is good to share RSS feeds useful for work than those of pure fun, and so forth.
- Organizing feeds in separate sub-folders and then split a main category (eg news) in other sub-categories (eg: news, sports, entertainment etc..).
- Give priority to different RSS feeds to follow, for example look now (and therefore give high priority) with information relevant to the job than for the sheer fun (or those to be given low priority, with the possibility to postpone the reading often at other times of the day).
- Read the new feeds folder to folder, and then not all together because it only creates confusion.
- Create a schedule that read RSS feeds, not to risk losing precious time to read and then perhaps only one or two new reports of usefulness of which is at least questionable.
- Reading quickly by selecting the first choice only reports of safe utility / interest, maybe just read the first 2 paragraphs and then continue in the event of interest.
- Put site / blog "in trial", ie, create a folder of its own for those sites that are not yet 100% sure you want to follow and thus avoid "crap" with the other news that may be unattractive.
- Remove from feed reader the sites that are "dead", ie, those not posting news for weeks or even months.
