Search in compressed files - Windows Vista

By default, Windows Vista does not search your files compressed. If you use compressed archives to store your files, you can configure Windows to search in these files.

    1. Open a browser such as the Computer.

    2. Click the Organize button and then click the Folder Options and research.

    3. In the Folder Options window, open the Search tab.

    4. In the When research on non-indexed locations, check Include titles compressed (ZIP, CAB).

    5. Click finally Ok.
