    Securing access to a removable disk

    Click Start, Run, then type regedit.

    Go to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon

    and click publishing, new, value chain ..

    Name this allocateDASD value and set the value you want based on this:

    • 0: Only administrators have access to removable disks

    • 1: Administrators and users with privileges may have access to removable disks

    • 2: Everyone has access to removable disks
