    Well it took a time , but I found the way how to do it.
    First you need to login as a Administrator then follow the following steps:

    1. Open Start Menu.
    2. In white line (Start Search) area, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
    3. In the left pane of the Local Group Policy Editor, click on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, and then Start Menu and Taskbar.
    4. In the right pane, scroll down a bit and right click on Remove Documents icon from Start Menu and click Properties.
    5. Dot Enable and click OK.
    6. Logoff and Logon, or Restart the computer to apply these changes.

    Keep us informed.

    Sorry Szymon it didn't work for Vista Ultimate but don't worry after trying several times i found the way to it just for you. It was simple but quite hidden.

    Now try this
    1. Click on start -> run -> type gpedit.msc
    2. User configuration -> Administrative templates -> Start Menu and taskbar-> "Remove Recent Items menu from Start Menu" and you are done! If u enable "Remove Documents Icon from Start Menu" , all it does is to remove the link to Documents (My Documents) from within the Recent items menu.It's littel bit changed from Windows XP.

    This is for the classic start menu of Vista Ultimate.

    Good luck!
