    Device Manager
Device Manager is a piece of operating system software that helps you manage the various pieces of your PC.
    1) Right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select Properties from the context menu that pops up.
    OR
2)Start menu, go to Settings, select Control Panel from the list of choices and then double-click on the System control panel.
    Now
Click on the tab that says Device Manager.
Click on all the little plus signs next to each category of devices to see the full outline-like list of everything in your computer.
If u see any red or yellow symbol around any device then there is some problem with your device.
I hope this helps you knowing how to find your hardware components are working For further details read help files.

Will read the help topics for further info.
Can you suggest any free program to find out the problem & fix it by itself?
