Slow Outlook sync with Gmail

I had configured Gmail account on my Outlook Express. I am using this from 3 months now. Today when I open up my account it takes a really long time to for outlook to sync my account. First it was done within a few minutes but now it takes more than 20minutes. I had checked the emails which are in may mail account appear in outlook after long time. I hope there will be some way to speed this thing up.

Can your internet issue. Slow sync means your internet is slow. Check that first. You can try reconfiguring the account. You just have to backup all the emails first and then you can re-add the account for download. I hope you had kept one way sync. That means once the mails are downloaded on your pc, it gets deleted automatically from the web version. If not then outlook will download everything back again.

There are few things you can try to speed up outlook. I am sure that will help you. If this thing does not work then you have to simply check the mail server. For this you have to click on Tools and then you have to click on account settings. Now click on your email account and then click on change. Here you will have to see that that there is a tick on Use Cached Exchange. Just click on that and click on finish. Now recheck the outlook.
