    outlook.com pop3 settings

I am trying to test something and was thinking if there was any POP3 settings available for Outlook.come. I have got 2 yahoo mail id and one of them is configured in Outlook.com and can also send and receive mails of this yahoo email from outlook. But if I am trying to configure the second yahoo email then it is giving me error messages that says:
"We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct."

Does anyone know how do I solve this issue? Thanks

Well, first of all you will need to convert your free yahoo mail to Yahoo Mail Plus Account and after that set it up in Outlook.com. Also, it was mentioned that if you have any spam or other malicious email messages in your Yahoo Inbox then outlook.com wont import them and the account cannot be setup as well. So, you will need to go through all the emails and find and delete them without opening the emails and then it should work normally.

You can try to use the below POP3 settings for Outlook.com.

    Incoming settings:
    username: youremailaddress@outlook.com
    password: your password
    pop3 server: pop3.live.com
    port: 995
    security type: SSL/TLS
    Delete email from server: never

    Outgoing Settings
    SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
    Port: 587
    Security Type: STARTTLS
    Require Sign-in: YES
    Username: same as username above
    Password: same as above

After converting your free yahoo mail to paid Yahoo Mail Plus Account, you need to also clean your Spam and Thrash folders on your yahoo email address and then make a different folder like Inbox1 and transfer all your inbox messages in the same folder. Now you can try to add the account on Outlook and once it is successfully added then try to transfer all emails from the new folder to Inbox in Yahoo. Hope this helps you out.
