Downloads missing in Safari browser

Hello guys in my computer Safari browser have started giving me problem. Now whenever I click on any download link in Safari browser at that time it gets open in new page and also it starts downloading but does not show download window. What should I do to solve this problem?

You should first disable all the extension from the Safari browser in your computer and then check whether same problem is occurring or not? If after disabling the extension same problem does not occur then it means any of the extension is having problem. If problem occurs after disabling the extension also then something else is causing this problem.

If you want to disable extension then you have to follow these steps.

• First you have to open Safari browser.
• Click on safari menu.
• Select the preferences.
• Select extension tab.

After that you have to turn off all the extension and then check whether it makes any difference or not?

I have checked Safari browser after disabling all the extension but after disabling the extension also I was having same problem. Now after that I have also tried to solve this problem by resetting the Safari browser but that does not help me. Now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?

If above solution does not help you to solve this problem then you should go here ~/Library/Safari/Downloads.plist and after that you have delete download.plist and then start safari browser. Now check whether your problem gets solved or not.

In Safari 5.1 downloads window is not there but instead of that there is a small button which you can see at right end of the toolbar. You have to click on that button to see downloads. Select the magnifying icon to see the download in the Finder. If you don’t see download button then you have to add it by customizing the Toolbar.

Thank you for sharing this information. I was also having the same problem have read above solution and I have add the download button by customizing the toolbar and then my problem get solved. Now all the things are working properly.
