Lightning 1.1 is not working on Thunderbird 9.0.1

I have installed Windows XP SP3 on my computer. I have installed Thunderbird 9.0.1 and Lightning 1.1 on it. whenever I launch Lightning the calendar tab is coming up and it was displaying empty grid . there was no entry for Day/Week/Multiweek/Month tabs and it cannot be selected. Also I noticed that Calendar and Tasks menu items were grayed as well.
So post if you are having any useful comment to fix the issue.

Do you having mini calendar located at the top left side of the screen? If so then you will have twistie called Calendar and there will be a calendar file. If you are not able to get the same then you have to click on File and go for New and click on create a new calendar button.

The above mentioned could be happening because of lack of .net framework 2.0. so I recommend that you should get the same from the official website and installed the same on the computer. after installing the same you should reboot your computer.
