    Color codes are not resolved properly on Messenger Plus!

    I have installed Messenger Plus! on my Windows 7 based computer. I have found that Coloring of the letters on the color codes is looking quite different on Windows 7 than that of Windows Xp.
    I am having contacts in the following format.
    [c=12]<[c=4]Rictoo[/c]>[/c]
    Windows XP
    <Rictoo>
    Windows 7
    <Rictoo>
    Can you give brief idea why above mentioned issue is happening?

    I wanted to tell you that controls used for the purpose of displaying screennames are using standard Windows Controls from the Windows Live Messenger. Messenger Plus! is not changing that. Messenger Plus! is supposed to manipulate text RichText controls from pure black text to text with controls characters which is going to define what color it will use. Messenger Plus! is supposed to use the existing color codes by simply enabling rich text manipulation.
    If controls are not supporting standard codes or interpret them in different manner then its not the fault of Messenger Plus! rather than that of WLM.

    Yes I do agree and it can be elaborate in following manner. if web designer has makes a web page and it create some kind of fancy text. If browser is not having support for that and browser is not able to show as it was expected than its fault of browser rather than fault of web designer. I hope you have understood the thing.

    New color tags are ignored until and unless the last color is closed. I would like to have the same for older version of WLM which you can have color tags in the colored spans of text. Once closed the inner tag the color will return to the color which has been represented in the outer tag.

    Messenger Plus! is not able to intercept the drawing of the text on control hence it is not able to process as it was expected. Well it’s a bug and should be fixed by Microsoft as early as possible.
