after updating Safari to 5.1.2 It becomes slower

I have MacBook pro and updated safari browser to 5.1.2. But I am little bit annoyed that when launching updated safari browser it works very slowly. What should I do?? Can anybody help me??? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Click the MacintoshHD icon and click on help and get info. On the info window you will find two tabs capacity and available. Click on capacity you will find that you should have 15% of free disk space minimum. Can I know how much free space do you have on the startup disk?? Please reply.

I have 165GB means 55% free disk space on my startup disk.

Open the safari browser and click on the safari>>empty cache. After than restart and again open the browser and click on safari>>reset safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset. I hope it will work for you. It will process to work your safari browser to work faster than before.

I have performed all the process you have told me but nothing has worked. I deleted all the preferences files, turned off the Norton antivirus and tried all the resets but it is still as before. The browser is still lagging and it is taking lot of time to load the webpage. It is very frustrating.

Use your safari using another account. It will be not user specific. Install the anti virus software either Sohphos or ClamXav which are free and they are compatible on Mac OS X. hence you will find easy to use your browser.

Thanks’ a lot friends for all your suggestions. Really appreciated. I am still having this problem i am not able to work it out even when i made another fresh account.It is still working slowly and annoying me.
