Bookmark icons get disappeared from Firefox 9

Hello friends, there is some error in Firefox 9. Bookmarks icons are missing from Firefox 9. I get this error after updating Firefox version 9 in Mac. Bookmarks icon can displays menu bar, I don’t think so there is any problem of add on. I want to find out how the bookmarks get disappeared from Firefox 9. Any solution guys? Please help me.

This is a common problem for everyone. I have one solution for your problem but I am not sure about it, I was read this solution in one article. To get back your bookmarks icon you have to run CheckPlaces add-on. And check the results, your bookmarks reloading or not? Please let me know about your result. I will try to find out other suggestions.

Hey thank you for this suggestion but I tried this CheckPlaces add-on before. I didn’t get positive response from it. It’s going in failure. Please tell me any other solution.

I have also same problem with my Firefox. I tried so hard to get back these bookmarks icon, but I was failed, I am very frustrated with this situation, can anyone know the proper solution of this issue. If anyone gets it please let me know.

I will give you some steps to solve this problem; first you make sure that bookmarks Toolbar in the view select toolbar menu after that you have to open customize Toolbar window. You will get Bookmark manager, but it will not show in main menu. If you have any query related to this issue you can share with me.

This suggestion is very helpful for me. But I have one query, which is how to restore bookmarks? Restoring bookmarks will give me more relief. Please find suggestion on this query. I hope you will be replying me as soon as possible.

Restoring bookmark is very easy, I will show you first start Firefox then select Bookmarks then you have to choose organize Bookmarks then you will get Library, after that go to the Import and Back up Tab. Click on it and select restore. Then you have to select whichever date you want. Also you can select Choose file, this option is given to select bookmark backup file. You can restore your bookmarks from CD or other external storage.

I will suggest you to reinstall Mozilla Firefox, and then check, if that problem occur again then try to install your updated Firefox 9 on other operating system. Then you will know where the actually problem is, I think it will work after reinstalling. Try this solution.

Re-download the setup and then install it from the newly downloaded setup. In many of the cases it resolves the issue and I hope that it will do the same for you.

It's a bug in Firefox 9. Here's how to fix until we fix it:

In the Location bar, type about:config and press Return.
The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. #Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
In the filter section type, image.mem.decodeondraw
Double-click the entry that results to change it's value to "False"
