How to know the balance or net usage while surfing net through Data Card

Hi,
I am surfing net using Data Card (Idea SIM) in my laptop.
Is there any way to find out the balance or net usage in this scenario.

About balance I am not sure, but yes you can find the data usage. You can use software like Optus Usage Calculator 0.31. This tool calculate your internet usage. You can easily keep a track of amount of data you had use up while surfing internet. Other than most of the time the dialer helps out to find the data usage.
