Unable to upgrade mail database after Mac OS X Lion upgrade

I am using Macbook Pro My system is stuck on "update your mail database. This may take a few minutes “for 12 hours with little or no movement of the status bar. Has anyone encountered this trouble? What is the solution?

Same trouble, I just upgraded to Leon and updating mailing databases crashes about 20% of the progress bar Mail than I forced to abandon and restart the system, mail and this time began updating the extreme .

I just did this and I'm finally getting some data migration. I knew I could be so exciting! Again, the advice is much appreciated.
