This process is to be different on the different OS such as windows use the Custom setup option to do this task. While the other Linux or the Mac system need the chown or the similar kind of command for doing this task. Then as per the OS system you need to follow the respective process.

Using any browser, download the Firefox setup file to your desktop. Why do you want the environment variable in the path? If you want to select the location for this environment variable then you need to use a proper setting menu of this Firefox browser. Environment variables are a set of dynamic named values. The other local profiles/cache of this Firefox will be help to store the data for limited period of time. If you want to do this task, then I recommended you to check the manual of this browser. It helps to you for solving this problem.
