How to update Firefox 6 knowing security add-ons are not compatible

Is it possible for me to update the firefox 6 while knowing that together my anti-virus (avg safe search) along with my user script manager/editor(greasemonkey) add-ons aren't companionable? There are firefox security updates available to download but the problem is they are not compatible with Avg safe-search and grease monkey. I genuinely qualm I'll be surfing further secure devoid of them.

From Internet Explorer that changes require rebooting the machine and Chrome the process is invisible, Mozilla chose the middle path. The update to version 6.0 requires necessarily an intervention of the user must accept. This slows the one hand the evolution of the user base, but comes in front of a problem specific to Firefox. In an update, they have no guarantee of work because of changes to the browser. Cycle faster than increases the pressure on the extensions. An important issue that will be corrected with the actual completion of the Add-on SDK (Jetpack), which eliminates the need for versioning. Once the extensions have been migrated to the new infrastructure, Mozilla may be able to think of fully automated updates to its browser.

As far as I know that the Firefox 5.0 users are not receiving updates toward 6.0 Beta 1 except you installed a 5.0 Beta edition (to be on top of Beta channel) and is at rest utilizing it rather than Firefox 5.0 release. To hang about on free channel simply download plus install the Firefox 5.0 Avg safe-search is upheld by AVG and grease monkey is a 3rd-party extension similar to the bulk of those hosted on official addon site.

Mozilla Firefox 6 is available to the general public with important news and safety corrections. Some have already upgraded to this version of the Mozilla browser, and others are still undecided on their computers and have some of the earlier versions, in part because of the incompatibility of additions or add-ons. Mozilla has announced that it will release more updates security for Firefox 5, among other things because version 6 is available and one of the problems of version 5 is not updated automatically, but alerts the user of the update to apply it. Users who use Firefox 5, it may be interested now that Mozilla will not support security updates for this version of the browser.

Unless you would like to Test the 6.0 Beta 1 in that case presently install Firefox 5.0 to stay the Release channel and simply obtain let loose update prompts whether security otherwise after that main release. Essentially that prompt is not actually a security update for every declare except a update choice to attempt the 6.0 beta 1 seeing as you are lying on the Beta channel because of still utilizing the 5.0 Beta. Essentially there is a up to date edition of GreaseMoneky that might work, though not convinced regarding the AVG extension at instant.

One of the problems of Firefox 5, it is not automatically updated to the new version. The browser warns you that a new version and the user who should decide whether or not downloading install it and apply it. Many users use older versions of Firefox, in part because of the incompatibility of accessories (add-ons or plug-ins that are not currently supported) and did not want to upgrade to version 6 with corrections of eight security vulnerabilities and numerous bug fixes. However, users must ask whether it is worth keeping security risks by extensions or extension incompatible with the new version of Firefox.
