What force you to use WebOS?

I don’t want WebOS for following reasons
    1. Form factors available
    2. Obtainable sizes of the screen
    3. The depth of the library (including the Garnet emu appeared to be low resolution only) and quality
    4. Sprint only
    5. Customization, ranging from setting the interface to do things like turn off the data, reassignment

    Why I akin to WebOS

There are several things that attract me to WebOS. First, the bar wave is a small thing, but very, very charming. I used the version on my TX Teal constantly switch between applications quickly and loved - Maroon made a much more tolerable for me. Although no use right out of Teal (I opted to use the standard Palm launcher), I think the cards are a smart enough to do management tasks as well. Moreover, the integrated universal search makes little sense, and CLI is a much underrated mobile interface. Finally, I am starting to consider the ease of development of WebOS to be an advantage, because I am becoming increasingly convinced that future platforms will serve my needs.

For me, of course, none of this may be of interest until you have unlocked GSM version. I then at least take a look. His being completely SIM-less so far prevented me from putting any energy into looking at it. I know there are rumors that AT & T GSM unlocked, but nothing so far that convinces me this is very soon. So better get unlocked smartphone in which you have freedom to choose service provider. Hence provide flexibility.

The first reason is that it seems this design aesthetic that smaller is better with the current regime.I would need a device with a screen resolution larger / higher and I see this happening soon. For me, the phone still does not feel very important in my hand. After getting to play with a weekend takes a little droid, was impressed with the screen and the weight of the phone. It felt important and still in the pocket. Precentral From my reading, appears not only the need to install patches as many system functions that should be there from the moment you open the package. There is something to be said for just work right out of the box. In the end, I did not nor do I see myself having a Smartphone.

WebOS is difficult to explain how incredibly easy to fundamentally change, insurance, and with the support and patching it. It is not necessary to support a Pre, to put it in developer mode, which is ridiculously easy. In terms of support / interference Palm considers the following. When Pre was released all I had to do was go into “in the launcher to find the mode switch controller after the first update, Palm made it even easier, now you there. Palm has given public thanks to the homebrew community and has allowed application developers to WebOS version of the URL and not through its own repository.

I have two constraints: time - I have my TP2 with Sprint under a contract of 2 years, and the choice - Sprint SERO plan I will not let me get a WebOS or Smartphone Android. I do not want to give up my plan. If not for these factors, which may be interested in a phone webOS. I have not thought much about it, but I like the form factor of the Pre and have some interest in the features, I'm not sure about the Pixi. My instinct tells me that an Android phone would make me happier, but I have not really spent much time with that, either.

I personally do not I have patches on my phone, but a very active both in webos (General Discussion Development) and webos-internals (homebrew) in the IRC channels on Free node. My phone only works. Even with the preliminary version of the software running on it. It's as happy as a clam. The only reason I have installed is Prepare work (IRC client) and the fact that my application for the Beta and Web distribution are there.
