Streaming service, in contrast to OnLive, offers players not yet complete projects, and advertising trial demo version. This approach allows the players to the presence of different Internet connections without the need to evaluate the project download and install software. Now service offers a trial version of Mass Effect 2 , and the opportunity to see games like Spore and The Sims 3 , and Dead Space 2 , which are not traditional demos for your PC. You can also try out the gameplay a pseudo-MMO Second Life through a connection Gaikai.

Browser gaming is for those who take gaming seriously, a dirty word: it implies weak games after a few minutes next to you put down. But if one thing is certain it is that within the next two years we all have something in one browser are playing, because publishers increasingly see the browser as the means to reach more players, with the ultimate goal of full 3D games that you can start just from the browser.

Kalydo is not in competition with services like streaming game OnLive Gaikai and that existing PC and console games to any device via one video stream. This allows you to graphically intensive games on any device with Internet connection and enough power to run a browser, because the power is on the other side of the connection.

Project Mass Effect 2 is running on simple, the Eee PC with a single-core Atom, it is quite possible, if calculations are performed on remote servers, and the laptop is transmitted only the video. According to this principle works streaming service Gaikai. This is analogous to OnLive, but uses a completely different business model, which does not require end users to any payment. Instead of giving users a library of available projects for a monthly or one-time fee (as OnLive), Gaikai aims to promote games and applications, allowing the prospective buyer to evaluate personally the gameplay or functionality of the software over the Internet before buying.

Currently Gaikai is at the stage of beta testing. The service now is a website that checks the Internet connection of users, the availability of Java and Flash and allows you to play. But the final version will be arranged differently. The idea is to enable publishers to advertise their games in new ways. User visits any resource that examines the hidden speed of its connections, the level of delays and then, if these options allow you to use Gaikai, suggests using a graphic banner to evaluate free game or program. Clicking on it, the user immediately gets an interactive game. For high-quality 720p video enough connection speeds to 5 Mbps, but more stringent requirements will be imposed on the level of delays. The largest will, of course, the militants and active play.
