    Safari Web Inspector

I haven't been able to get the Web Inspector that comes with Safari 5 to correctly show link styles. For example, on a visited link, the color is purple, and this shows in the computed values, but the "visited" style rule doesn't show up in the styles panel, yet we know it's being applied since the link is purple.

Does anyone know what might be going on? And is there an in-depth treatment of the Safari Web Inspector somewhere?

    Thanks

    Re: Safari Web Inspector

If you can see in Safari's Web Inspector, it will show you the CSS cascade for any element, including properties that were overridden, all the way back to the default CSS. Unfortunately, it won't show you the filename for that default CSS, but it will show you what properties were reset. Hopefully that helps a bit. This way you can locate the default style sheet for the browser.
