    Internet Explorer 8 and Silverlight

    I have two systems with Windows 7 on. I have Internet Explorer 8 as well as I have installed silverlight on both. Neither system will run Silverlight with Internet Explorer 8 however Silverlight runs well with Firefox as well as Safari browsers. I obtain the message to install Silverlght however while I attempt to install it I afterward get a message that it is installed. I have attempted uninstalling Silverlight afterward reinstalling with no achievement. Any thoughts.

    Let’s attempt restarting in a clean boot, then uninstalling Silverlight, checking program files to make sure there is no Silverlight folder.
    Clean boot:
    1. Press the Start Orb
    2. Search msconfig
    3. Press Continue on the User Account Control (If prompted)
    4. Press the Services tab
    5. make sure the Hide all Microsoft services box
    6. Press Disable all
    7. Press OK
    8. Press Restart Now

    Uninstall Silverlight:
    1. Press the Start Orb
    2. Press either Uninstall a program or Programs and Features (Depends on what analysis you are in)
    3. Right press Microsoft Silverlight
    4. Press Uninstall
    5. Go through uninstall wizard (go ahead as well as close Internet Explorer if open/if encouraged)

    Make sure Program Files:
    1. Press the Start Orb
    2. Press Computer
    3. Open C: (or the partition your Windows installation is on)
    4. Open Program Files
    5. make sure to observe if there is a Microsoft Silverlight folder, if so delete it
