Goals are the way to assess business objectives for your website. Goals have to correspond to a measurable act performed by your website's visitors, for instance, a visit to a "thank you" sheet. This mixture of a business objective and a measurable act make up a Goal. To setup a goal:
    1. Sign in into your Google Analytics account.
    2. Choose the account which haves the profile you will be making goals in from the Overview page.
    3. Discover the profile for which you will be making goals, and choose 'Edit' below the 'Actions' column.
    4. Below the 'Goals' part, choose one of the four sets to make your goal in (every set encloses more than five goals) and select 'Add goal.' You can make up to 20 goals if you utilize all four sets.
    5. Type the goal's name so that you can rapidly recognize it while viewing reports.
    6. Twist the goal 'On' or 'Off.' If you select 'On,' that means you require Google Analytics to track this conversion goal at present. Rotating it 'Off' will just make the goal motionless with no removing it.
    7. Choose the goal's place. The pull-down menu allows you choose a goal's place from within a set thus you can manage the order in which it emerges from the 'Goals' tab in your reports, or allows you move a goal from one set to another.
    8. Choose one of the three kinds of goals you wish. This can be URL Destination, Time on Site, or Pages Visit. You can study more concerning them and how to setup the goals for every one by visiting a split Help Center.
    9. One time you choose the radio button for the goal type, a field for 'Goal Details' should come out.

At its core, a goal is only a page view. It’s could be an exact page on your website which you wish the visitor to observe or the page which is displayed while a visitor has finished a process. A goal is factually distinct by the URL of said page. As Google Analytic procedures site data, it increases the goal counter every time a page view for the ‘goal’ page is established. It should be noted that if the goal page is establish numerous times in a single visit then goal counter is just incremented one time.
