    Thunderbird and Microsoft Word 2007

The problem is that that I am not able to send emails from my Microsoft Word application. Whenever I am trying to do this email program should be MAPI compliant. Now I do not know what is the related of this with Thunderbird. The only thing I want to know is a solution for the problem that I am facing. If you have solution for this problem then I am interested in that.

I have exactly the same problem. Office 2007 appears to restrict the sending of mail to its own Outlook software. I use a provisional idea ( hopefully) print to a PDF printer ( PDFCreator or Adobe PDF) and from Acrobat Reader (or another PDF Reader ) click on the icon of Mail. If you get any updated related to the solution of this problem then please updated me on the same.

Are you looking to send by Outlook or by Thunderbird? (Not Outlook Express in Vista)

If Outlook, just install it and everything is bathed.
If this is NOT install Outlook (or after un-installation) requires the following in Regedit :
With the two additions in the regedit it works or Vista / XP.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows Messaging Subsystem ]
    " InstallCmd "= "rundll32 setupapi , InstallHinfSection MSMAIL 132 msmail.inf "
    " MAPI " = " 1 "
    " CMCDLLNAME32 "= " mapi32.dll "
    " CMC " = " 1 "
    " MAPIX " = " 1 "
    " MAPIXVER "= " 1.0.0.1 "
    " OLEMessaging " = " 1 "

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ microsoft \ Windows Messaging Subsystem \ MSMapiApps ]
    " inetsw95.exe "= " "
    " choosusr.dll "= " "
    " msab32.dll "= " "
    " nwab32.dll "= " "
    " outstore.dll "= " Microsoft Outlook "
    " KEMMAPI.dll "= "Microsoft Outlook "
    " ocpTasksCn.dll "= "Microsoft Outlook "
    " ocpNotesCn.dll "= " Microsoft Outlook "
    " ocpCalendarCn.dll "= " Microsoft Outlook "
    " ocpContactsCn.dll "= "Microsoft Outlook "
    " KEM.EXE "= "Microsoft Outlook "
    " SearchProtocolHost.exe "= " Microsoft Outlook "
This is enough to " turn on " options in Word Mail

In the longer it takes the keys to Thunderbird: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Clients \ Mail]
    @ = " Mozilla Thunderbird "

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Clients \ Mail \ Microsoft Outlook ]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Clients \ Mail \ Mozilla Thunderbird ]
    @ = " Mozilla Thunderbird "
    " DLLPath " = " C: \ \ Program Files \ \ Mozilla Thunderbird \ \ mozMapi32.dll "

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Clients \ Mail \ Mozilla Thunderbird \ . eml ]
    @ = " Microsoft Internet Mail Message "
    "Content Type " = "message/rfc822 "

    [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Clients \ Mail \ Mozilla Thunderbird \ Capabilities ]

Look at my 6 spoke do you copy / paste text from Windows Registry ... etc. until the end in Notepad, you save the file as EMAIL.reg example ( . reg extension very important !). You spears Word 2007 options should be available. If you use Windows Mail it should suffice. If you use Mozilla Thunderbird and if it does not work with (It does not call Thunderbird default), which is not certain! Then you add in the same way the additional text found.

Yes altogether it is exactly what I do because acrobat, the knows send a mail! Or we save and we use the paper clip to attach the file, “class ". On a test PC to see, I installed Outlook, then there the option to send mail directly from Word activates. By going into the config you see a “set “MAPI was installed. But Acrobat sending emails without MAPI, it should be possible. Msoft but has not changed, it does not competitors. Is there anyone knows how to bypass this restriction or activate the option.
