Google Chrome To Ie8

Hi Friends,
I have installed Google Chrome in my computer and I have Windows XP operating System running in my computer. I wanted to something with java. When I restarted my computer and tried to change some options I found nothing is working. Some of my friends told me that internet explorer gets virus easily and can be hacked using Google. Should I stay with the chrome or I should change to IE8. And also Tell me how can I get all my favorites out of chrome and into IE8?

Comparing between a Volkswagen and a Rolls Royce will be same as Comparing between Internet Explorer and Chrome. Internet Explorer can be considered as Webmaster's Nightmare. Unlike the chrome it does not follow the web standards. It is slower then chrome. Therefore for the users of internet explorer 6, 7, 8 Google came up with chrome frame. Many of the new pages cannot be displayed in IE without Chrome frame like HTML 5, CSS3.

You can follow these steps to export from Chrome:
These steps are for windows

• Click on the tools posted Image on the Google chrome
• Now select Bookmark manager.
• Click on the Organize menu in the manager.
• Select Export Bookmarks.
• You can choose a location where you want to export this file.
• Click on save button to export.

Using these steps you can easily export your favorites.

As in above post they have posted how to export and here are the steps to import on Internet Explorer.

• Open Internet Explorer.
• click the favorites > add favorites > Import/Export.
• In import export setting dialog click on import from file and after that click on next.
• Now select favorite check box and again click on next.
• Internet explorer by default imports from file bookmark.htm from your document folder. but you can make it to import from somewhere else. click browse and select a file from where you want to import. Click on next to except the default.
• Select the folder where you want to place your imported files.
• Click on finish to finish to fish the wizard.

Great, thanks for all above replies. I solved the same problem of my friend by these post. Since Microsoft monopolized the market for so long so I think they got a little too comfortable for a while.Big companies always try to find a new way improve because it will be very costly to be stagnant. Currently I am using Firefox but I will someday I will choose Chrome instead of IE.
